I've added some contacts to my iPhone that aren't on my computer. I plan to buy a new iPhone but i want to sync my iPhone contacts to my PC so I can sync the contacts to the new one when I get it. Is there any way to reverse sync contacts from the iPhone to my PC? I'm running Vista Ultimate 32-bit by the way.
Please don't tell me how to reverse sync songs and videos, I've seen many guides on those already and none really helped.
Connect your iPhone and click on the iPhone under devices on the left hand side. Under the "Info" pane, the first option listed is Contacts. If you check the box, you can select to sync with Microsoft Outlook and other options. It backs up all of the contacts from your phone and puts them in your contacts in Outlook. It keeps the list up to date everytime you sync. Any changes you make on the phone will be updated in Outlook and vice-versa. If you want to add a contact on your PC quickly, it will be on your phone next sync
In itunes, when connected to iphone, and when you check the contack box,and sync them, itunes will pop out asking whether you wanna merge them. Just try and see.
Please help me with syncing iphone with mac?
well some of the music i have on my iphone are download from lime wire and i think i cant download those songs, but i have alot of songs i bought from itunes and i dont know how to download thos songs.can i please get some help?
Import all the music/video files into iTunes that you want to sync with your iPhone. Then just plug your iPhone into the computer and follow instructions that pop up if there are any. If should automatically sync once its plugged in, but if not click the Sync button
Can someone please help with syncing my iPhone 3G?
Everytime I plug in to try and sync, iTunes will get stuck on syncing calendars, even before I click to sync everything else. What should I do?
This happens on mine. Delete off what is on ur calendars on ur iphone and delete any reminders in windows calendars as well. Try again! If not just be patient leave your pc on overnight and if it still does not work contact apple!

Is there any way to use my Mac to control my Iphone?
I need to be able to use my Macbook as a remote control to play music from the ipod feature on the Iphone. Basically a reverse of the current Remote app.
I have never heard of an app on either end that support that, but may I offer a suggestion? Check out the Airport Express from Apple. It has a feature that allows you to stream music from iTunes to your sound system. I have one, and I love it! It's $99, and once you get it set up, all you have to do is click on a button in iTunes, and it sends your music over your wireless network.
Can the iphone control the itunes library on a pc? i mean as a remote control, i know it works on a mac ?
It works both on PC and MAC. Name of the app is Remote.
There is another app called Simplified Media it even amazing you can stream music from your desktop or laptop computer from anywhere.
Is there a way to control the iPod touch from a Mac?
I have my iPod touch hooked up to my stereo. I was wondering if there is an application or extension for iTunes that allows you to control what is being played on the iPod touch (or iPhone) remotely.
I know there is an application that allows you to control your Mac from the iPod touch but I'm not sure if there is one for the other way around.
Anyone who has an iphone, can you tell me if safari has parental controls for safari. Can you limit the sites your child goes to to a specific set like on a mac?
it's not there (I just checked). If you are really techy, you could set up a VPN or a proxy server... but any kid of a techy parent could circumvent it easily.

How to unlock iphone to cdma?
The dev team has made it so you can use your iphone on t mobile sprint and verzion.Does any one know how to use it on cricket.50$ asap though western union if someone can help me get cricket service on my iphone
There is NO way you can make an iPhone run on a CDMA network, the iPhone is a GSM device and needs simcards to work where as CDMA phones dont use simcards, you can only use the iPhone with GSM carrier (if unlocked) such as T-Mobile and NOT verizon or sprint. or Cricket Hope this helps.
Would it be possible to install a CDMA chip into an iphone?
would it be possible to put a cdma chip into an iphone for use on a CDMA based network liker verizon wireless?
I'd have to say no. Physically the iPhone PCB is designed specially for the chip & antennae already on it. Replacing them with a CDMA chip & antennae might be possible, but then you'd have trouble putting the iPhone back together again. Plus you'd have to change the software to enable the CDMA chip to work.
It's certainly not something you'd be able to do in the average bedroom. You'd need a mobile-telecommunication engineering (hardware & software) background, and specialist tools. Basically, you'd have to ask Apple to do it... which they wont.

Any chance the 3G iphone will be CDMA?
I really want an iphone yet, i have verizon wireless... Is there any chance there will be a cdma iphone? Also can verizon wireless issue me a sim card if i buy an iphone then unlock it?
i read sum new that the ipone might be relasses for bot gsm n cdma. it would b able 2 remove da battery n will use unversal head phones as wll as a glossy back
I have a BlackBerry on Sprint (CDMA) World Edition that also works on GSM (with SIM card). The reason for BlackBerry doing this is that Europe does not allow CDMA networks. Since the iPhone is already GSM, it already works in Europe and the U.S. as is, therefore no need to make a World Edition.
AT&T (GSM) has the iPhone locked in the U.S. until 2012. They lose a lot of revenue to iPhone users that unlocked them to use on T-Mobile. As of yet I have heard of no one using an iPhone on Verizon. If that happens it will be big news indeed.

No. The first poster is right about 2012 (just so the first poster knows, the asker is asking if the iPhone will be CMDA, which is what Verizon uses)
Verizon only has two phones which use a SIM card, but that's only for people who travel internationally and works on international rates.
So no, Verizon won't offer you a SIM card...if you really wanted their one of two SIM cards...it'd be cheaper to pay the cancellation fee. Lol.
